Software engineer
André Högberg
I build software at Lasia AB. I care about building stable software, about identity (knowing who you are and what you are allowed to do), and about artificial intelligence (AI).

About me
I started my journey in software in 2020. Since 2022 I work as a software engineer at Lasia AB, where I help rebuild a system for the Swedish Employment Protection Act (LAS).
In my free time I build Kulturtid.se, a booking app for arts schools. When I need a break from the screen, I go fishing on a quiet lake.
My work at Lasia
Lasia makes a system that helps employers follow the Swedish Employment Protection Act (LAS). The system reminds employers of important dates and rules in the law.
The company was called WinLas AB until 1 October 2025. Its first product was started about 40 years ago and is built in Delphi. Since I joined, I have been part of building a new version from the ground up. After several years of work, the new product has been delivered to its first customer.
What I do
Build the new product
I build it with .NET and React. I have been part of it from the start, with the goal of a solution that is stable and can grow with more customers.
Work with BDD and test cases
We use behaviour-driven development (BDD). First we describe in plain words how the system should behave. Then we write tests that check that it does.
Lead the work on identity
I drive the work on Lasia's identity solution: how users log in, and what they are allowed to do in the system.
Tools I use
- .NET
- React
- BDD
My journey
The start
I started my journey as a software engineer.
Joined WinLas AB
I started working as a software engineer at WinLas AB, and joined the work to rebuild the company's product from the start.
WinLas AB became Lasia AB
The company changed its name from WinLas AB to Lasia AB. I still work there.
Projects
Kulturtid.se
A booking app for Swedish arts schools (kulturskolor) that I have built and run. Teachers publish their lesson times and share a code. Families use the code to book a weekly lesson for the whole school year. They do not need an account.
Built with
- SvelteKit
- Svelte 5
- TypeScript
- Tailwind CSS
- SQLite
- Drizzle ORM
- Better Auth

What I am interested in
- Craft
Development
I like building software that lasts: stable, well tested and easy to understand. Preferably with BDD and clear test cases.
- Security
Identity
How users log in (authentication), and what they are allowed to do (authorization). This is also the work I lead at Lasia.
- Tech
Artificial intelligence (AI)
I follow how AI is changing, and how it can be used in real software.
Lake fishing
When I am not at the computer, I like to be out by a lake with a fishing rod. Often together with my dog Bowie, a golden retriever.

Bowie by the lake.
A break in the heather.
Rest time.
Waiting for a bite.
